New Smash Bros. DLC Smashes on the Scene Soon

A challenger approaches--for you to purchase!

Those of you who thought Mewtwo would be the only addition to Nintendo’s latest Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U may be happy to hear that Mother favorite Lucas will be joining the roster later this month.

Hitting both platforms on June 14th at 8am PT or 11am ET, the new DLC will cost you $3.99 to access Lucas on a single platform, or you can pony up the extra dollar to have access on both Wii U and 3DS.

In addition to Lucas’ inclusion on the Smash Bros. roster, that same day will see Splatoon-themed costume pieces for Mii Fighters as well as a Miiverse Stage on the Wii U version. The word is still out if the Miiverse posts on the themed stage will be as disturbing as the actual Miiverse.

What do you think? Does any of the aforementioned Smash Bros. DLC entice you to purchase them when they release June 14? Or is Lucas not enough to make you reach for your cash receptacle? The real question is with all this Mother love, will Nintendo finally realize that there is an audience for Mother games/releases stateside?
