New and Old Heroes Arrive in Project X Zone 2

Objection! This crossover just got the law on its side.
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Part of the appeal of Project X Zone was seeing such a large character roster made up of Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai franchises. It was the only place you could see Heihachi from Tekken throw down with Chris Redfield from Resident Evil and Frank West from Dead Rising. With Project X Zone 2 having been announced, fans have to be wondering who’s arriving for the next installment and who’s coming back for a second act.

The full roster hasn’t been revealed, but we do have a few new and old names. From the previous game are Ryu and Ken from Capcom’s famous Street Fighter franchise, and Sakura Wars’ Gemini Sunrise and Sakura Shinguji. New to the franchise are Nana Kazuki and Ciel Alencon from God Eater 2, Aty from Summon Night 3, Streets of Rage’s Axel Stone (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita of BlazBlue fame) and perhaps most importantly, Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey of the famous Phoenix Wright franchise. It’s not made clear if these characters will be paired together or be separate characters you can add as a ringer to a party of two, which is how combat worked in the previous Project X Zone.

Project X Zone 2 is due out sometime this fall for the 3DS. Are there any other characters you want to come to the sequel? Let us know in the comments below.
