Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Campaign Finished in Two Hours

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’ve played more recent Metal Gear games like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, you’re more than likely not expecting very long games from the folks over at Konami. In the case of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, a preview in this month’s issue of Game Informer indicates that the campaign can be completed in two hours.

This is, of course, regarding the main mission line. There are extra side quests and the like that add to the replayability of the game, but if you’re looking for a fully fleshed out main storyline, it may not be worth the $20 digital/$30 physical copy on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and definitely not worth the pricier $30 digital/$40 physical copy on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Longstanding Metal Gear fans will likely be happy to shell out the money to play another Kojima game, but who knows? Maybe those two hours will be the best two hours of any game ever. Only time will tell. In any case, people looking for a longer gaming experience can look to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain for a much bigger, more detailed world. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be available on March 18th on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
