Earlier this year, back in in March, the BBC announced that they were developing a live-action drama based around the making of the Grand Theft Auto video game series. This came as a surprise to Rockstar Games, who develop the hit game franchise, as they were quick to file a lawsuit against BBC over the drama. Despite this hurdle the film pressed on, and will be releasing on BBC Two next week. The British network has released a short commercial for the drama, titled The Gamechangers, which you can check out above.

The Gamechangers stars Harry Potter-star Daniel Radcliffe as Rockstar’s co-founder and president, Sam Houser, in 2002 as he pushes to make Grand Theft Auto III the best and most engaging experience it can be, while being met with opposition at every turn from concerned parents whose kids are playing the violent game and politicians who fear the the influence such a game will leave. Bill Paxton plays Christian lawyer and anti-video game activist Jack Thompson, who fights against the inclusion of sex and violence in video games.

You can check out the full press release from the BBC on The Gamechangershere. There has been no announcement of the drama making its way to North America yet, but it’s likely to jump over in due time.

The record-breaking Grand Theft Auto V continues to entertain nearly two years after its initial release, as players have created mods and skins aplenty to bring into the game Reapers from Mass Effect, The Joker from The Dark Knight, and Furiosa and Mad Rockatansky from Mad Max: Fury Road.
