During Gamescom last month Square Enix showed off a new trailer for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV, titled the “Dawn” trailer. It focused heavily on the father-son relationship between Noctis and King Regis, and the company promised an extended cut of the trailer with new scenes at Tokyo Game Show. With TGS under way now, Square Enix has released the extended Dawn trailer online for all to see. Check it out above.

While this new trailer gives us a look at the beginning of Noctis and Luna’s journeys from childhood to present-day, possibly the most exciting part is seeing the big, official “Coming 2016” at the end of the video. Final Fantasy XV has had a long and arduous journey to completion, and it is almost beyond comprehension that we’ll finally get to experience it next year.

Final Fantasy XV will have a simultaneous worldwide release in 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
