While there is a long list of changes that come with the Destiny 2.0 Patch, one of the smaller and more easily noticeable changes that comes along with the 2.0 Patch is the new map director.

If you’re not familiar with the term, we don’t actually mean a person when we say director. The director is just the term for the map display that you’re looking at after selecting your Destiny character where you choose between going to a planet or the reef or the tower, etc. While you can no doubt check this out for yourself as soon as your update finishes downloading, you might want to check out this info in the meantime. The download can take a while and if you’re not even home yet, you might want to head into the 2.0 Patch as mentally prepared as you can be. Let’s take a look at the new map director:

As you can see, things have been shuffled around a little bit. The reef is now on the left side of the map instead of the top. The position of Crucible and Vanguard have shifted up. The planets are now spaced differently but are relatively in the same proportions to one another. The Weekly Heroic Strike and Weekly Nightfall Strike bar is now displayed horizontally on the bottom left side of the page instead of vertically. For the most part, it’s not a whole lot of new stuff to get used to. These changes may also add new planets at some point but we’re not there yet.
