We got Spartans for days!

Halo 5: Guardians is three and a half months away, and the hype train is real. Today, 343 Industries has put out a ViDoc focusing on the cast of characters that make up the game. After the staff of 343 talks about their ambitions and desire to live up to the massive expectations thrust upon them, A Hero Reborn devotes time to the Spartans that make up Halo 5.

You’ll be playing as two different teams in the game: Master Chief’s Blue Team, which is made up of fellow gen II Spartans Fred, Linda, and Kelly from the books, will be hunted by Fireteam Osiris. Osiris is made up of Jameson Locke, Holly Tanaka, Olympia Vale, and Edward Buck from Halo 3: ODST. According to Corporate VP Bonnie Ross, Halo 5’s story is about “heroism, but not an individual heroism”, and the contrast between the two teams will hopefully get that across.

The ViDoc goes into a little more about the characters and shows off the teamwork both teams have among the squadmates. If you were a fan of Bungie’s ViDocs when they were working on the previous Halo games, 343’s is very much similar to those. There’s sure to be more of these in the coming weeks.

Halo 5: Guardians hits the Xbox One on October 27.
