The leaves on the trees are finally starting to grow back, we’re getting a bit more sun rather than freezing snow, and Microsoft is having a pretty spectacular Spring Sale like they do every year around this time.
The sale not only gives customers heavy discounts on AAA games and indies alike, but there are even discounts on Xbox consoles, and Xbox Live Gold members can save even more money.
There are a ton of games that are part of the Microsoft Spring Sale and while most of them are worthy of being added to your Xbox One collection of titles, we narrowed down the best games that are super cheap right now that you can’t miss out on.
Also, the Spring Sale ends on April 22, so be sure to grab these titles while you can.
Assassin’s Creed Origins
While the recently released Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is arguably a newer and better version of Origins, this game is still an integral entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, as it revised the combat formula for the first time.
The addition of hitboxes, more freedom in fights, and a new experience-based level up system turned Assassin’s Creed into more of an action-RPG and in turn, was praised for providing players a fresh way to experience Assassin’s Creed.
Right now, Assassin’s Creed Origins is available for purchase at the very low price of $19.80 – or only $15 if you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber.
The Sims 4
The Sims allows you to control and decide how your Sim characters lives play out. You can get your Sim married, divorced, cheated on, engaged, pregnant, employed, unemployed – it’s honestly all up to you.
If your life sucks and you just want to dive deep into creating a world that is run by you and you only, then The Sims 4 is the game for you.
With six expansion packs that have come out since release, there’s no better time than now to jump in and live your best life. Plus, now that the game has mouse and keyboard support, playing it on consoles is much more viable.
Right now, you can live your dream life with The Sims 4 for the low cost of $12 or $8 if you are an Xbox Live Gold member.
Dark Souls III
FromSoftware ended the Dark Souls trilogy of games on a solid note with Dark Souls 3, giving players yet another challenging entry with a satisfying conclusion.
The unique bosses to fight, level structure, and sense of scale in this Dark Souls title makes it worthy of the number 3. If you’ve yet to experience this sequel, be prepared, as it will test you pass your breaking point, but that’s what all FromSoftware games are typically known for doing.
Dark Souls 3 is just begging to be played on Xbox One as you can purchase it for $19.80 right now or for $15 if you have Xbox Live Gold.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Starlink: Battle for Atlas was Ubisoft’s attempt to bring the whole “toys to life” gameplay element back into the spotlight. While it didn’t take the world by storm, nevertheless Starlink: Battle for Atlas turned out to be a really fun space shooter with exciting combat and a ton of variety thanks to the different kinds of ships and weapons.
Ubisoft’s Star Fox lookalike is currently 50% off on the Microsoft store, putting the price at $29.99 – considering that the game released just last year, this price is sure to go back up after the sale comes to an end, so be sure to grab it while you can.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
Since Borderlands 3 was finally announced late last month during a Gearbox panel at PAX East, there’s no better time to jump into the cel-shaded looter shooter series.
The Borderlands: Handsome Collection comes included with remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and of the accompanying downloadable content.
Playable with up to four other players, Borderlands is great fun if you just wanna chill out and shoot bad guys with some friends.
As part of the Xbox Spring Sale, you can grab this collection for only $19.80 – again, $15 if you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber.
