Every Indie Title Showcased at the Tribeca Games Spotlight

While the Tribeca Games Spotlight may not have been home to the biggest games being developed in the industry, there is no doubt that there were still plenty of standout indie titles. Some debuted, while others had some more information revealed about them via new trailers. That includes everything from anticipated titles like Twelve Minutes to lesser-known ones like The Big Con.

To celebrate all of that glorious indie love, we put together an entire list of trailers that were showcased during the event. Hopefully this saves you a bit of time while also allowing you to show all these indie titles the support that they deserve.

Signalis

Tribeca Games Spotlight

Signalis is a classic survival horror experience with a unique aesthetic. Players control Elster, a technician Replika searching for her lost dreams. Throughout this title, you’ll need to solve puzzles, fight off nightmarish creatures and navigate dystopian, surreal retrotech worlds in order to crack the dark secret of the world.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Tribeca Games Spotlight

Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been on every Sony fan’s mind ever since it was announced at PlayStation’s Future of Gaming event back in early 2020. As we inch closer to its release date in a few months, we’re finally starting to see its world take shape, as the above trailer showcases a bit more about the gameplay, characters, and story.

Norco

Tribeca Games Spotlight

Norco combines sci-fi and southern gothic themes, placing cyborgs and artificial intelligence into a pixelated Louisiana landscape. You’ll be thrust into this environment with the hopes of finding your lost brother, speaking with NPCs and adventuring around the swamps in order to gain information.

Harold Halibut

One of the more unique indie games showcased at the Tribeca Games Spotlight, Harold Halibut is a stop-motion animated narrative title all about friendship. The game follows the titular character as he lives his daily life, explores, and builds relationships on a city-sized spaceship submerged in an alien ocean.

Sable

Tribeca Games Spotlight

Shedworks stole the hearts and minds of many when it premiered Sable during the PC Gaming show back in 2018, as its colorful art style and setting were hard to ignore. Thanks to its most recent gameplay trailer, we now know that the story is set to follow a young girl on her pilgrimage, placing a heavy focus on exploration.

Lost in Random

The world of Random is a dark and twisted one, where every citizen’s future is determined by the roll of a dice. While that may sound like it would suck to live through, that concept makes for a very interesting game. Players will take control of Even and her sidekick Dicey, as they work together to make the odds work in their favor and help break the curse of Random.

Twelve Minutes

Tribeca Games Spotlight

Another highly anticipated indie title, Twelve Minutes is a mystery game that forces players to learn everything they can throughout a 12-minute scenario to try and succeed. This means multiple scenarios where you will fail, resetting the game and hopefully finding a solution that leads to a proper outcome.

The Big Con

Tribeca Games Spotlight

The Big Con boasts an interesting concept, as it follows a young girl trying to con her way into money in order to save her mom’s video store from gangsters. Players go about this by doing everything from pick-pocketing to hustling people to earn money. The life of a grifter never looked so fun.
