In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can obtain various outfits that previous heroes wore during their adventures. Many of them are locked behind amiibo in Breath of the Wild, but you can now obtain them for free from various chests scattered throughout Hyrule in the sequel. Without further ado, here’s a guide on how to get the Awakening armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

Zelda: TOTK Awakening Armor Set Location

Unlike the Twilight armor set, the Awakening outfit is hidden in several caves on the Surface. Here are their locations:

Tunic of Awakening

You can find the Tunic of Awakening inside the Ancient Columns Cave in Tabantha Frontier (-3465, 0048, 0265). A massive stone slab will cover the entrance to this area, but you can unlock it by pressing the switch on one of the stone pillars nearby (-3485, 0425, 0310).

Please be careful when approaching this zone because a Fire Gleeok will roam at the Ancient Columns. The monster will not block your path into the cave, but you may accidentally draw its attention if you get too close.

Trousers of Awakening

The Trousers of Awakening is located in the Coliseum Ruins in Hyrule Field (-1096, -1244, 0122). You can easily reach this area by launching yourself from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower and gliding southwest. Inside the structure, you will encounter a Thunder Gleeok who will become aggressive once you enter the ruins.

Although it may be possible to access the treasure chamber without fighting the monster, the boss won’t leave you alone until you defeat it. I personally decided to beat the creature first since it has many powerful long-range attacks that can easily kill Link.

After defeating the Gleeok, you must find an entrance covered by a stone slab and a knight statue without a sword inside the Coliseum (-1172, -1307, 0046). A decayed board sword can be found on the left side of the sculpture, and you can use the Ultrahand ability to place the weapon inside the knight’s hands.

Mask of Awakening

The Mask of Awakening is hidden inside the Thundra Plateau Cave in Hyrule Ridge (-2269, 0904, 0098). To access the cave, you must link the shadow of the south pillar with the shadow of the north pillar. You can do this by attaching four to five logs from nearby trees, and then you can use the wooden pole as a bridge to connect the two pillars’ shadows.

You must also do this during the daytime, preferably at 12:00 PM, to link the shadows. If you arrive at the wrong time, you can make a campfire by dropping a bundle of firewood and striking a flint using a metal weapon.
