How To Complete Lend Lease Part 1 in Escape From Tarkov

Where to find every quest item for Lend Lease Part 1.

If you’re pushing for that elusive Kappa container, you’ve probably hit the Level 25 wall and seen Skier’s “Lend Lease – Part 1” pop up in your task list. I’ve been through this quest more times than I can count, and in the 2026 meta, it’s a bit of a different beast than it used to be. You’re looking for five high-tech components—three Motor Controllers and two Single-axis Fiber Optic Gyroscopes—scattered across Woods and Shoreline.

Getting Ready Before You Deploy

Before I even think about stepping into a raid, I make sure my preparation is on point. In the current 0.15 and 0.16 patches, the game has changed enough that old-school strategies might get you sent back to the lobby early.

  • Check Your Level: You absolutely must be Level 25 and have finished “Friend From the West – Part 2” or Skier won’t even talk to you about this.
  • The Key Hunt: You’ll need the West Wing Room 216 key and either the East Wing Room 306 or 308 key. In my experience, 308 is often cheaper on the Flea Market, and they both get you to the same balcony anyway.
  • The Cultist Circle Hack: If you’re struggling to find those keys, I’ve found that sacrificing items in the new Cultist Circle in your Hideout has a solid chance of “gifting” you quest-specific keys.
  • Gear for 2026: Since the 0.15 recoil overhaul, I’ve stopped relying on iron sights for these maps. The horizontal recoil can be brutal, so I always slap a red dot or a variable zoom optic like the Vudu on my rifle to stay competitive.

Snagging the Woods Components

Woods is a sniper’s paradise, so I usually run these at night or during heavy rain to stay hidden from the “Sawmill gamers.”

  • Motor Controller #1 (The SUV): Head to the USEC checkpoint west of the Sawmill. You’ll see a black SUV parked there; the controller is sitting right on the center console. I’ve seen some weird bugs lately where the car door appears locked—if that happens to you, I’ve heard that bringing a Yotota car key can sometimes force the interaction prompt to appear.
  • Single-axis Gyroscope #1 (The Blue Truck): This one is right in the heart of the Sawmill. Look for the light-blue pickup truck; the gyroscope is tucked inside an open wooden weapon box in the bed of the truck. Since the 2026 AI update, I’ve noticed the guards are much more aggressive here, so don’t linger.

The Shoreline Wilderness Hunt

The Shoreline items are split between the open fields and the deathtrap that is the Health Resort.

  • Motor Controller #2 (The Radar Tower Crate): This is the item that usually gives me the most trouble. It’s in a wooden crate on the ground west of the Radar Tower (Weather Station). The 2026 foliage update has made the grass here incredibly thick. My pro tip? Stand on the metal cart near the station and look toward the cliff edge to orient yourself toward the crate.
  • Dealing with Glitches: If you find the crate but don’t see the item, crouch down and look for the “white dot” loot prompt. I’ve had many raids where the controller clipped through the bottom of the box and was technically underground.

Infiltrating the Health Resort

This is where things get sweaty. I recommend moving fast and using the “Marathon” map transitions if you’re feeling bold.

  • Single-axis Gyroscope #2 (West Wing 216): Use your 216 key to get inside. The gyroscope is sitting on a shelf in a blue metal cabinet. In 2026, I’ve noticed more people “ratting” in the adjacent rooms, so I always toss a grenade into the hallway before I unlock that door.
  • Motor Controller #3 (The Balcony Jump): This one is on the balcony connecting East Wing rooms 306 and 308. It’s inside a cardboard box on the floor. If you only have the 308 key, you can just jump over the generator on the balcony to reach the 306 side where the loot is.

The 2026 “Marathon” Strategy

One of the biggest game-changers in the recent updates is the map-to-map transit system. I’ve started using this to knock out multiple quests in one “super-raid.”

  • The Woods-to-Shoreline Route: You can now transit directly from Woods to Lighthouse, and then from Lighthouse to Shoreline.
  • Why Do This? Transiting actually gives you enough experience that you don’t have to worry about getting a “Run Through” status, which is a lifesaver if you’re just trying to get in and out with quest items.
  • Transit Tips: Remember that transits only open up after 1 minute in the raid, and there’s a 20-second timer where you’re a sitting duck, so clear the area first.

What You Get for Finishing

Once you’ve survived and handed everything over to Skier, the rewards are actually pretty great for your mid-game progression.

  • The Big Prize: You unlock the ability to buy the ORSIS T-5000M sniper rifle at Skier Loyalty Level 2. In the current meta, this is one of the best bolt-actions for the “Tarkov Shooter” questline.
  • Cash and Rep: You get 17,500 EXP, +0.05 Skier Rep, and about $3,000 (though this goes up to $3,450 if you have your Intelligence Center at Level 2).
  • Night Ops Gear: He also throws in a pair of N-15 night vision goggles, which I usually save for my next Shoreline run.

All you have to do now is get these into the right hands. If you run into that annoying Bad Gateway error, we actually have a guide on how to fix it that should get you back in the game. I also recommend keeping our breakdown of how to check Escape From Tarkov’s server status handy so you aren’t left wondering why your raids are lagging.
