Triangle Strategy: How to Save Your Game

Following on from the success of 2018’s Octopath Traveler, Square Enix and developer Artdink are back with another 2D-HD RPG, this time tackling the classic ‘Tactics’ genre with Triangle Strategy. With another engaging story with plenty of decisions to make along the way that’ll impact the ending you get, the game offers a ton of replayability and almost encourages multiple playthroughs. As such, you may be wondering how to save your game in Triangle Strategy, so you can take a break, or start another playthrough without overwriting your existing progress.

How to Save in Triangle Strategy

To save your game, press X when in the Encampment, or on the Battle Prep screen to bring up the menu. Then select ‘System,’ and then ‘Save.’

Next, select the save slot you’d like to record your progress in. Press A to confirm you want to save your game and Triangle Strategy will do the rest.

Auto-Saving

Triangle Strategy also features an auto-save system that will record your progress for you automatically fairly frequently throughout your adventure.

You’ll know when this is happening as the words ‘Save in Progress’ will appear in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Just make sure you don’t turn your Switch off or quit out of the game when this is happening, as this could corrupt your save file.

This auto-save system, in combination with the ability to manually save at the Encampment or when on the Battle Prep screen will ensure you’re never far off from being able to save your game and take a break.

Just like that, you’re all set to save your game in Triangle Strategy so you can take a break. For more tips and tricks, be sure to search for Twinfinite, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
