Halo Infinite’s campaign brings a sweeping change to the series, providing players with open-world sections of Zeta Halo to explore between taking on the main story missions. Saving in Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite auto-saves your progress whenever you do pretty much anything in the open-world, or when you reach a checkpoint during one of its missions.

You’ll know your progress has been saved when Saving Checkpoint appears on the left-hand side of the screen.

From our experience with the game, this is regular enough that you’ll barely ever lose out on any progress.

Forcing a Save in Halo Infinite

There are a number of ways you can force the game to save. Primarily, we found fast traveling to any FOB you’ve captured works well.

We also found opening a Spartan Core, Mjolnir Armory, taking down a High Value Target, or destroying an enemy base will do the trick. Basically anything you can do in the open-world will cause the game to save.

You’re then free to press the Menu button and then ‘Exit Game,’ to return to the main menu.

Is There a Manual Save Option?

No, you cannot manually save your game in Halo Infinite. Instead, you’re stuck with the auto-save system. If you do want to force the game to save your game, though, just fast travel somewhere and it’ll save when you arrive at your destination.

That’s everything you need to know on how to save your game in Halo Infinite. For more tips, tricks and guides, head on over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
