With Motion Controls now enabled, you’re all ready to hit the course.

First make sure you’re standing up, as this will actually making the swinging action a lot easier. Now hold the Joy-Con so that the SL button is facing upwards and place your thumb over the top of it.

If you want to use a practice swing to check the power you’ll get on your shot, press L and move your arms in a swinging motion, as if you were swinging a golf club. The power of your shot is indicated by the gauge on the screen.

When you’re all ready to take a shot, press SL and swing your Joy-Con back and forward again.

Remember you’ll need to move your shot, change your club and select your shot type before swinging.
