Fortnite Season 5 Map
You can get a quick look at how the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 map looks in the image below.
The most notable difference when immediately looking at the map is the replacement of The Ruins/ The Authority named location that was right at the center of the map, with a new sandy biome.
Here, players will find Colossal Coliseum and Salty Towers, a desert rendition of the fan-favorite Tilted Towers from the first chapter of Fortnite.
In addition to that, we’ve also got Stealthy Stronghold slotting in just above Pleasant Park, while the area west of Lazy Lake has now been filled with Hunter’s Haven.
In comparison, here’s what the Season 4 map looked like that we’ve just left behind.
What’s New & What’s Gone?
There have been a number of changes to named locations on the map. Here are all of the new named locations at a glance:
- Stealthy Stronghold
- Colossal Coliseum
- Salty Towers
- Hunter’s Haven
Best Places to Land on Fortnite Season 5 Map
If you’re looking to get yourself the W and that all-important Victory Royale, you’ll still want to focus on landing in quiet areas where you can get a ton of loot without being ambushed by other players.
As such, we’d still suggest the likes of Holly Hedges, Slurpy Swamp or Misty Meadows for an easy W.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a heated battle right off the Battle Bus, heading to Salty Towers and Colossal Coliseum are going to be your best bets. A ton of players will be heading here to check out what’s new, and with Salty Towers’ similarity to Tilted, you know that’s going to become the go-to for all out chaos.
