While Bugsnax starts off as a pretty linear game, it soon opens up, offering a choice of quests to undertake and characters to go and visit. The world isn’t very big, but you’ll be doing more than being led around the various location to catch each of the Bugsnax.

How Long Bugsnax Takes to Beat

On average, you can expect Bugsnax to take six to ten hours to beat. However, that number will depend on a few things.

First of all, if you struggle to work out how to catch some of the Bugsnax early on, wandering around trying various things, your playtime is going to be extended. In most cases, adding a creature to your collection isn’t just a case of placing a trap and waiting; it’s a little more complex than that.

Also, if you decide to complete most or all of the side quests in the game, your completion time will also increase. The six to ten hour estimate does include playing some of the side quests, but not all of them. If you’re a completionist who’s intent on 100%ing the game, then 12 hours plus is probably a better figure to have as a benchmark.
