Marvel’s Avengers is a pretty straight-forward game, but it isn’t without its moments where it throws new items and game mechanics at you from left field. How to Get DNA Keys and Where to Use Them in Avengers Game

To start, you can only get DNA Keys in Marvel’s Avengers by defeating humanoid boss-type enemies. As their name implies, these enemies are human in form and far stronger than your run of the mill villains and thugs you can tear through with ease.

They’re far from insurmountable though, and should be beatable so long as you’re not drastically under-leveled or still getting a grasp on the game’s basic mechanics. Once you put them down in the dirt, they’ll drop a DNA Key to be used at your discretion.

As for where they’re used, there’s only one way to utilize them; that being to open up the DNA Strongboxes in Vault Missions.

Like other Strongboxes, these containers hold a multitude of resources, gear and other loot which can serve you well on your heroic adventures.

However, they’ll only appear during Vault Missions, so you’ll need to participate in those activities if you hope to use up the DNA Keys in your possession.
