New Game Plus in Resident Evil 3

To get straight to the point, no, Resident Evil 3 doesn’t really have a new game plus mode. Similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake from last year, if you want to play the game again, you’ll have to start a new file. That being said, there are some unlockables in the in-game store that you can carry over to your future save files.

After you’ve beaten the game for the first time, you’ll unlock the Shop option from the main menu. From here, you can spend points to purchase items that you can carry with you to your next run. Points are earned by completing and getting achievements in the game, and you can view them in the Records section of the main menu.

The shop offers a ton of useful items, including infinite weapons, an item that makes your quick step more effective, as well as coins that can give you gradual health regeneration, increase your attack power, and increase your defense. These will give you a serious edge in the game, and if you have the points for them, they’ll certainly be worth getting.

It’s not exactly a traditional new game plus feature that some players might be expecting, as you’ll still need to grind for points to some extent to unlock these benefits, but they’ll at least make your subsequent runs a little easier.

That’s all you need to know about the new game plus feature in Resident Evil 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
