One Punch Man: How to Change Hero Name

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Not every Hero Name is created equal in One Punch Man: A hero Nobody Knows, and you’ll likely want to change yours from time to time. Unfortunately, the game isn’t very clear on how you do this, so we’re here to walk you through how to change your Hero Name with minimal hassle.

How to Change Your Hero Name in One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows

As it currently stands, you can change your Hero Name through one of two methods in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows.

One way is to purchase a Hero Name Change Ticket from the Item Shop in the town hub area. The item has a base price of 20,000 gold, and while pricey, can be purchased as many times as you’d like.

The other way is to wait until you reach a new Hero Rank. Whenever this happens, the Hero Association will grant you a new Hero Name. However, these typically aren’t the most flattering names though, ranging from mundane and boring to downright insulting.

Fortunately, when you’re given one of these new Names, you’ll be given the chance to edit that Name as you see fit. Once you confirm your new name as whatever you’ve changed it to, it will then become the new name of your created character until you earn a new Rank, receive a new Hero Name and repeat the process.

What Your Hero Name Does

As for what your Hero Name does in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, the answer is simple: nothing.

Sure, it lets people know what you want to be known as, but otherwise, it’s completely useless and doesn’t have any bearing on how powerful you are, what you can do in the game and so on.

Hopefully this helped you figure out how to change your hero name in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. For more on the game, check out one of its most recent trailers. It teases just how much more powerful Saitama is than pretty much everyone and everything else in the series.
