Steam Winter Sale Deals Cheaper Than a Cup of Coffee

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition

This definitive edition of the acclaimed top-down real-time strategy game, Age of Empires, features 4K visuals, bigger multiplayer battles, and a host of other features that makes it worth going back to see where it all began. At a price of $5 right now, you really can’t go wrong. It’s either that or a latte so you tell me what the best decision is during this Steam Winter Sale.

Far Cry 3 – Blood Dragon

Far Cry 3 – Blood Dragon is an excellent standalone expansion to Ubisoft’s open-world shooter and it does not take itself seriously at all. You play as a guy named  Rex Colt who is just on a mission to get the girl and save the world in a cyberpunk setting full of pink and purple splotches of color all over the place. This might be a hot take but I think it’s better than some mainline Far Cry games and it’s only $6 right now. Go play it!

Tomb Raider

Crystal Dynamics’ and Square Enix’s reboot of the Tomb Raider series was critically and commercially successful, bringing back the esteemed archeologist into the spotlight. Its combat is satisfying, the story is highly compelling, and the game is absolutely gorgeous. And hear this: It’s only $3.

The Witcher 2

The Witcher 2 is one of the most unique and impressive open-world RPGs out there and this enhanced edition of The Witcher 2 is so heavily discounted that it’s hard not to recommend for those looking to spend more time with Geralt. You can grab it here for only $3.

Uno

Uno is one of those cards that anybody can jump in and play regardless of your skill level. If you want to check out this digital version on Steam, you can do so for only $3 right now.

Life is Strange 2

Now, the entire season of Dontnod’s adventure series isn’t cheaper than a cup of coffee but you can download the first episode for only $2 to experience the beginning of Sean and Daniel’s harrowing journey.

Undertale

This charming little indie RPG draws inspiration from old-school titles like Earthbound and is just a charming title that uses a unique combat style that allows you to play the game without killing any enemy. It’s so well done and at the price of $4, I highly recommend trying Undertale out!

Borderlands 2

The acclaimed looter shooter from Gearbox is on sale on Steam for only $2 right now and if you can’t enough of fart jokes and grabbing tons of loot, then jumping back into this title is a must.

Fallout: New Vegas

If you enjoyed the humor and the narrative decisions in The Outer Worlds then you might actually like Fallout: New Vegas. It has a great sense of humor and the way it lets the player have total freedom is simply amazing. Plus, it’s less than $3 on Steam.

The Sims 3

I’m well aware that Sims 4 has been out for some time now, but thanks to the abundance of mods available for The Sims 3, grabbing this game right now for $5 and just messing around with some of the mods out there will make for some of the most fun you will ever have with a video game.

Friday the 13th: The Game

Friday the 13th: The Game is an asymmetrical online multiplayer game where you can team up with other camp counselors and communicate with each other to escape from the clutches of Jason Voorhees. And if you’re feeling a bit evil, you can play as Jason and attempt to kill the other players before they get the upper hand on you. You can check this one out for $5 during the Steam Winter Sale.

Portal 2

This puzzle game from Valve is one of the best out there as it switches up everything you know about physics-based puzzle-solving. There’s even a cooperative mode that features its own story and characters. Also, the first game is on sale you can get both games for under $2 –that’s a steal.

Kind Words

Kind Words is a video game that you all need in your life. It’s a simple title in which all you do is send and answer anonymous letters from other players. These can be cries for help, questions about life choices, or just positive messages. It’s extremely heartwarming and makes you feel all good inside to know that you’re helping other people out with their problems. You can buy it for $4 right now during the Steam Winter Sale.

A Short Hike

A Short Hike is a charming little indie title that has you playing as a penguin that is trying to hike up a mountain just so that they can get cell phone reception to call their mom –yes, it’s very wholesome. The art style is reminiscent of Animal Crossing and the characters are so quirky and the writing is very good and witty. This one is a little bit more than a simple cup of coffee but if you add some extra shots of espresso, then it still counts. You can but this one for $6.79.

Resident Evil 4

Thanks to the recent remake of Resident Evil 2 from Capcom and the upcoming remake of RE3, the popularity for the survival horror series is at an all-time high. Resident Evil 4, even though it’s never been remade, still holds up to this day and is the perfect mix of action and horror. Check it out for only $5 during the Steam Winter Sale.
