How to Research in Phoenix Point

In Phoenix Point, the experiments you’ll do are vital, as it’ll let you create items, progress objectives, and much more.

To actually properly complete experiments though, there are a few steps you’ll need to follow first.

The most important thing in getting started with things is that you’ll need to be feeding power to the research bay, located in the build tab, in order for it to actually begin.

You’ll know that it is using power when it has a yellow lightning plug next to it in the bases tab. If it isn’t on, just press on the research lab and click on power on.

You’ll also know if your projects aren’t being done if it says N/A next to it. This is usually where the number of hours it takes to complete will show up.

If the bay doesn’t have power, it’ll never start any of the projects what you want.

Once you have everything on, just head to the research tab and click to the right of whatever you want to start.

You can see how long it will take, as well as its progress, in both the Geoscape and the research tab.

Time needed: 5 minutes

In short, here is how to research in Phoenix Point:

  1. Open the build tab and make sure the research bay is built and is being fed power.

  2. Go to the Research Tab and click on what you want to study, just to the right of its description.

  3. Simulate time and track progress until it is done.

That is everything you need to know about how to research in Phoenix Point.
