How to Farm Cutsman in Borderlands 3

The Cutsman is a Legendary SMG that you can get in Borderlands 3, and it’s definitely worth keeping if you manage to get your hands on one, as SMGs are pretty effective in this game.

Unfortunately, there’s no set way to obtain this weapon as it isn’t a specific boss drop or anything like that. The Cutsman can be obtained from any loot source in Borderlands 3, which means that it could potentially drop for you just by killing random enemies and bosses in the game.

However, there are a couple of things you can do to increase your chances of getting Legendary drops. The first is by playing True Vault Hunter Mode, which is essentially new game plus in Borderlands 3. Enemies will be tougher, but you’ll retain your skills and levels, and the loot drops will be better as well.

The other, and better, way to farm is by playing with Mayhem mode activated. Once you complete the game, you can activate up to three Mayhem tiers while in Sanctuary. This also makes the enemies much tougher, but your Legendary drop rates will also increase by quite a bit.

Farming enemies and bosses in Mayhem mode will certainly allow you to get a lot more Legendary drops, making this the best way to farm for the Cutsman.

Stats and Perks

  • +20% Weapon Charge speed
  • +40% Melee damage
  • 5.0x Weapon Zoom

The Cutsman fires a projectile that splits into two after a short while, and will be connected by an energy beam. It can also come with several elemental variants including Cryo, Radiation, Corrosive, Shock, and Incendiary.

That’s all you need to know about how to farm the Cutsman SMG in Borderlands 3. Be sure to check our Borderlands 3 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
