After a long wait, the Kickstarter success story that is Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is finally available on PC and consoles. Here’s how to open underwater chests in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.
How to Open Underwater Chests in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night
Before you get the Shard that allows you to properly explore the water, you’ll first need the Aqua Stream Shard that can only be obtained after killing Bloodless and getting Blood Steal.
Use the Blood Steal Shard on the blood fountain in the castle, and this will lead you southeast to a fast travel point. Just two screens left of the fast travel point is a good farming spot for a jellyfish-type enemy that can be farmed for Aqua Stream.
Once you get it, equip it as your Directional Shard and you’ll be able to start moving around underwater. However, you won’t be able to open underwater chests just yet. You need another Shard for that.
How to Get the Deep Sinker Shard
From the Forbidden Passageway area, you’ll want to use Aqua Stream to get underwater and head southeast to get to the Hidden Desert area. In the northeast corner of the Hidden Desert is an elevator that takes you up to the boss of this area.
Just below the boss level, though, you’ll notice a white magic seal blocking your path. Keep this in mind, and go ahead and defeat the boss first. After you take him down, the seal will disappear, allowing you to enter to obtain the Deep Sinker Shard.
Now, you’ll be able to sink in the water and actually open up underwater chests. The Deep Sinker ability can be toggled from your Shards menu at any time.
That’s all you need to know about how to open underwater chests in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
