How to Unlock Mei Shin’s Room in Devotion
Developer Red Candle Games has followed up its 2017 critical darling Detention with another horror experience, Devotion. With greater production quality and a first-person design, it resembles a familiar experience for fans of the genre, tasking players with piecing together a spooky narrative and solving various puzzles. Here’s how to unlock Mei Shin’s room in Devotion.
Early on in your playthrough of Devotion, following a vision, you’ll enter a house and come across Mei Shin’s room door, which is locked. There’s seemingly no way to open it, but you’re not actually looking for a specific key. In fact, the door will open by itself.
What you’ll want to to do is keep following the hallway round to the right of Mei Shin’s room, past the bathroom and through the door on the left. This will take you to the area by the front door of the house again.
Watch out, jump scare incoming!
After everything goes dark, the front door will be locked. You need to open the lockbox to the left of the door, inside which is a key to open the door. Use it on the door and you’ll be able to go inside. The layout of the house will look a bit different now, but Mei Shin’s room will be unlocked.
So there you have it, it’s just a case of progressing the story to trigger the door’s unlock automatically.
That’s everything you should need to know about how to unlock Mei Shin’s room in Devotion. For more useful information, guides, and tips on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
