Is Anthem PS4 Pro Enhanced? Answered
Anthem’s shared world is absolutely beautiful. The varied locales that you travel to in your Javelin often amaze, but you might be wondering if you can get them to look even better on your PlayStation 4 Pro console. Well, here’s everything you need to know about whether Anthem is PS4 Pro enhanced.
Thankfully, yes, Anthem is enhanced on PS4 Pro, although it only runs at 1800p, and not native 4K like the Xbox One X does.
However, unlike on the Xbox One X, where the frame rate is locked to 30fps in 4K, the frame rate is unlocked on PlayStation 4 Pro, making for an experience that is often smoother.
According to Digital Foundry, while the frame rate is generally higher on the PS4 Pro, there are no options to prioritize frame rate over resolution. That’s a bit of shame, we think. Since the game is not in native 4K on the system, it would have been nice to have the option.
Anthem will no doubt look very pretty, no matter which platform you play on, of course, but the improved frame rate performance on PS4 Pro certainly makes it an attractive option, even if it doesn’t have 4K aspect of the rival console.
