Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Alien Containment Room in Subnautica.

Subnautica offers a wealth of options for building up your underwater facilities, not least of which being the aquariums and equipment that allow you to house and breed underwater life. Some can be tricky to find though, so we’re here to help you figure out how to get the Alien Containment room.

Like almost any other facilities or add-ons players can get in Subnautica, the Alien Containment room is unlocked after its databox is found in some wreckage at the coordinates 1327,-233, 575.

To reach it, you can take their submersible most of the way toward the location before arriving just above the crash site. Here, you will receive a crush depth pressure warning and will have to exit your submersible, searching through the wreckage by hand.

It’s important to note that there are BoneSharks and other threats near and around the crash site. Keep an eye out for them, and if any follow you toward the crash site, dispose of them or lead them away from the site before proceeding with your search.

Once the wreckage is safely reached, swim down toward some fragments of the ship littering the ground nearby. The Databox should be visible as you make your descent and the blue print inside can be picked up to obtain the Alien Containment room.

From here, you can construct the Alien Containment room at your base of operations. It requires five glass and two titanium to construct, and can be stacked on other Alien Containment units to produce a larger room like most other facilities in Subnautica.

With it, players can store any fish caught and breed more fish should they store specimen of the same species. This can be done by adding a hatch to the sides of the room through the builder tool.

Hopefully this clears up how to get the Alien Containment room in Subnautica. Subnautica is currently available on Xbox One and PC.
