Spyro Reignited Trilogy: How to Beat Gulp in Spyro 2

How to Beat Gulp in Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage (Reignited Trilogy)

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a  nostalgia trip for longtime fans of the series, but the slick new graphics and mechanics make it a must-play for newcomers too. Of course, the game’s boss fights are challenging regardless of which you are, so here’s how to beat Gulp in Spyro 2.

Rather like Crush, Gulp is intimidatingly proportioned. He’ll spend the fight trying to chase you down and jump on top of you with a body slam attack. It’s a bit of a game of cat and mouse, because you’ll need to wait for him to charge and then carefully avoid his slams.

Once you’ve evaded him a couple of times, Elora’s pterodactyls will drop eggs containing a variety of items. These are what you’ll be using to fight back against Gulp and deal some damage.

In the case of the barrels, charge them in his direction. The flame bombs can be lit to cause big damage to gulp, and you can shoot the rockets from Spyro’s mouth to hurt him from range.

Chickens will also occasionally appear, which can be used to gain some health back.

Unfortunately, Gulp can also take advantage of all the items dropped by Elora’s pterodactyls as the fight wears on, including the healing chickens. For that reason, try and dispatch him as quickly as possible, otherwise, things can get a bit tricky.

Essentially you’ll want to keep using the items dropped into the arena while dodging Gulp’s various attacks until you’ve defeated him.

That’s all the information you should need on how to beat Gulp in Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage (Reignited Trilogy). For more useful guides on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
