How to Dig up Clay in Graveyard Keeper

Dubbed “the most inaccurate medieval cemetery sim of the year,” Graveyard Keeper will see you, the player, manage a graveyard set in a medieval town. You’ll be tasked with discovering new land to fill with bodies, plotting out a soon-to-be home of a recently deceased citizen, planting vegetables and more. In this Lazy Bear Games-developed sim, players will not only be responsible for keeping graveyards nice and pretty (among other things), but they’ll also have to gather the proper materials and resources needed to do so. One of the most important resources your graveyard keeper will need, and will need quite often, is clay. Finding this resource can be tricky but fear not — we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to get clay in Graveyard Keeper.

The first thing you’re going to need to do is locate the person in Graveyard Keeper’s town creating pottery. Once you’ve found them, look next to them. What you’re looking for is a hole in the ground.

You’ll know you’ve found the right hole when you’ve found one surrounded by a large amount of cracked dry ground. Try interacting with it. Nothing should happen. That’s okay. Keep in mind what that non-interactive hole looks like.

Once you’ve photographed that into your memory, head south of the graveyard. Not too far away from this position, you should spot a hole that looks exactly like the one you saw earlier next to the person in town doing pottery. Now that you’ve found this lookalike hole, interact with it. You should find that instead of responding with nothing like the previous hole did, this one will respond to your interaction by showing that your character has dug up some clay. Now that you’ve got some clay, get back to work — those graves aren’t going to dig themselves and people aren’t going to stop dying!

That’s all you need to know to get clay in Graveyard Keeper. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
