Who the Best LW Is inĀ FIFA 18

With the focus in FIFA 18 being on attacking play, as it has been in many of series’ previous games, putting together a strong front line is arguably more important than a powerful defense. While you’ll often focus on the pace, defending, and reaction stats when looking at defenders, there are more options that can be successful in attack. You can go for two upfront, combining pace and physical presence, or you can opt for a front three with two wide attackers. If you go for the latter of those two options, you’ll want to ensure that you have the best LW (left-winger) you can, so here’s are the best choices in FIFA 18.

Of course, like any other position in FIFA 18, your own play-style should inform your decision. Do you prefer a combination of pace and power, or is a small, tricky player more your bag? Thankfully, in Ultimate Team, with FIFA 19 being just a couple of months away, there are loads of LW options. Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo will always be a good option, if you have the coins. He has everything; the pace, the height, the strength, and the technical attributes to make him good on the ball. On top of that, he also has custom animations that are exclusive to him, making him feel different and more effective than any other player, and he even has a 99-rated TOTY card. If you don’t have many coins but want a similar player, TOTS Heung Min Son is a great option. He’s tall, strong, great technically, and has the added benefit of a five-star weak-foot. Anthony Martial and Ivan Perisic, both of whom now have high rated cards, are also good options as more powerful LW players.

If you’re looking for an agile LW however, there are more options. Eden Hazard, Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Insigne and Neymar all have high rated LW cards, and all of them combine technical ability and agility to be a threat going forward. Who you choose at LW has a lot to do with your style preference, but you can’t go wrong with Ronaldo if you can afford him.

That’s all you need to know about who the best LW is in FIFA 18. For more on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide.
