In Warframe, the MMORPG shooter, there are dozens and dozens of different resources for players to gather. Some are common, some are uncommon, some are even more rare, and some are near impossible to find. Fortunately, one of the game’s more important resources isn’t deemed that rare. In fact, the resource in question, Cryptographic ALU, is classified as uncommon. You might be in need of this valuable resource in order to craft the Razorback Cipher. Despite that need, though, you might not know how to find it. Fear not; we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to get Cryptographic ALU.

For those unaware, Cryptographic ALU is “excess circuitry disposed of during the Razorback manufacturing process,” according to the item’s in-game description. It’s only available during the Razorback Armada invasion event in Warframe and it is a resource dropped only by Corpus Archwing enemies Jupiter and Neptune.

There are a number of different ways to gather Cryptographic ALU, but the most effective method requires the use of Itzal, a stealth and support Archwing. So first things first, acquire Itzal and use it. From there, head to the Salacia node on Neptune. According to the Warframe Wiki, the Salacia node yields roughly 10 Cryptographic ALU per Archwing run, and that’s without a resource boost. The reason you need to use Itzal is because of this Archwing’s ability, Cosmic Crush, which pulls in all resources dropped from enemies you kill — instead of going to the resources, Cosmic Crush brings the resources to you. While the Wiki says this method will yield approximately 10 Cryptographic ALUs per run, there are players who have reported numbers much larger, even reaching as high as 42 per run.

If you have no idea what this resource looks like, they look identical to Omega Isotopes, but be careful — Cryptographic ALUs are dark in color, and because of that, they easily blend in with space.
