How to Do a Low Cross in FIFA 18
There are loads of different buttons and button variations in FIFA 18 that help you do different types of shot or pass. Some of them are quite unknown and can be very overpowered in game. One of those pass types is the low cross, which can be overpowered when used correctly, and is the subject of a Weekly Objective in the Ultimate Team mode on July 19. Here’s everything you need to know about how to do a low cross in the game.
To go a low cross, which should go along the ground, triple tap the cross button. The cross button is Square on PlayStation 4, X on Xbox One, and Y on Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, unlike in previous FIFAs, the ground cross isn’t very useful in FIFA 18.
The better option is to do a driven cross because, much like the standard driven pass, it’s very useful in this year’s game. To do that, you press the cross button (Square on PlayStation 4, X on Xbox One, and Y on Nintendo Switch) and hold down the right shoulder button (R1/RB/R). This should see the cross fire across the face of goal, or towards a player you’re trying to pull the ball back for. It’s far more accurate, and difficult to stop, than the standard ground cross, so it will be your better option.
The new Weekly Objective, called ‘Low Crosses’ requires you to score from four low crosses this week, rewarding you with a Gold Squad Fitness Card (Untradeable) once you’ve completed it. It shouldn’t be too tough to do over the course of a whole week.
