If you want to make a lot of money in Bus Simulator 18, you’re going to want to be assigning those drivers that you’ve hired to different routes in order to make money. You can assign as many drivers as you like to all of your routes in order to start earning some cash. There are, however, some pre-requisites that you’ll need to meet before you can assign drivers.

Just hiring a driver is not enough, you’ll also need to buy a bus. There are multiple different buses that you can buy from the shop section in the bus garage. You’ll have to own one bus per driver that you want to assign. So if you have five drivers, you’re going to need five buses. The cheapest bus is the Mercedes Citaro K, which can be bought for €120,000 a piece.

Once you have your drivers and your buses, you’ll want to head to the route planner. Hover over any of your routes and you’ll see an employee icon. Click on that icon and you’ll be able to begin assigning drivers and buses. Make sure that you assign the same amount of buses as you do drivers to the route. You can see the amount of drivers and buses assigned to a particular route to the right of that route on the menu (the numbers next to the employee and bus icons). You can assign multiple drivers and buses to one route, or spread them out among all of your routes.

The amount of money they can make is dependent on your best result on that route. The higher the best result, the more revenue you can gain from your assigned drivers.
