How to Get iOS 12 Beta

Recommended Videos

The iOS 12 beta is now live, and users now have the option of testing it out on their devices. The official operating system is slated to release this fall, but for those who can’t wait, here’s how you can update your phone to try the beta for yourself.

First off, you’ll have to enroll in the Apple Developer Program, which will also give you an early access beta code for iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS. It’s worth noting that you’ll have to pay $99 dollars to access the services, so be prepared to fork up some cash. Another way you can test out the beta is by signing up through the public beta program. You’ll be offered a profile to download on your phone, updating your operating system. It’s worth noting, however, that the iOS 12 beta won’t be dropping in the public beta program until later this month. That said, the only way you can update your phone at the moment is through the Apple Developer Program.

Here are the following devices supported by the beta:

  • iPad Air
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Pro
  • iPad mini 2
  • iPad mini 3
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPod touch 6th
  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6/6 Plus
  • iPhone 6s/6s Plus
  • iPhone 7/7 Plus
  • iPhone 8/8 Plus
  • iPhone X
