How to Take Down Walkers & Tanks in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Galactic Assault

Recommended Videos

Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Galactic Assault offers up massive multiplayer battlegrounds that tasks one team with bringing down walkers and tanks before they reach designated checkpoints. At first sight, these giant, hulking machines can look pretty much unstoppable, but just as in the movies, there is a way.

To take down walkers and tanks in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Galactic Assault, you’re going to need to seek out the rocket launchers on the map. Walkers and tanks have shields that deflect normal gunfire, so you’ll need to grab the rocket launchers to disable these first.

Rocket launchers can be located by finding the icon on your map or HUD which looks like a little arrow pointing up. Pick these up and then use the L2/ LT button to zoom in on the walker until it fires. You should then see the shield disappearing, and you’ll now have about 20 seconds for you and your team to deal as much damage to it as possible. After the 20 seconds are up, the shields will come back online and you’ll need to rinse and repeat the process with the rocket launchers.

If you’re on the team defending the walkers and tanks in Battlefront 2’s Galactic Assault, you’ll want to focus on taking down any enemies you see nearby or with rocket launchers. Without them, the opposition won’t even be able to scratch your beasts.

And that’s all there is to taking down walkers and tanks in Galactic Assault. For more on Star Wars Battlefront 2, be sure to check out our wiki.
