How to Beat Thaviks in Destiny 2 Exodus Crash Strike

The final boss of Destiny 2’s Exodus Crash Strike appears after tracking the Fallen through arc pulses, defending your ghost from waves of enemies, and platforming in a dark room filled up with enemies. It can be a tough due to the increasing number of enemies during the fight, so having a fireteam is a must.

Thaviks’s room consists of a circular platform in the middle surrounded by a higher platform connected by bridges all around. Thaviks appears after clearing the room full of flying drones, or shanks. The boss will be invisible at first, but is not afraid to make his presence known with up close and personal melee attacks.

Causing any damage will turn him visible, so all fireteam members should focus attacks on him while keeping distance from his attacks. He will disappear in a cloud of smoke after a certain amount of health has depleted, so everyone should not waste their super abilities at the beginning. Once gone, more enemies spawn that must be destroyed to make the fight easier.

Each wave consists of dregs, vandals, servitors, and shanks that electrify the floor they hover above. The shanks are important to take out immediately because stepping on an electrified floor restricts your sprint and continuously causes damage. Unless your team can handle opposition from all sides in the middle, then destroy the shanks to create more free space.

The battle follows this pattern: Thaviks appears, takes damage, disappears, adds spawn, Thaviks reappears. Constantly put pressure on Thaviks when he shows up, and have one person use their super ability on him each turn to maximize potential damage and end the fight.

That is how you beat Thaviks and the Exodus Crash Strike. For more on Destiny 2, check out our extensive wiki guide.
