Controls – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s control scheme can take some getting used to. With most games assigning jump and sprint to the bottom button and the left stick respectively, their different assignments in the game can lead to some rather frustrating deaths. However, there is a way that you can partially remap the controls to alleviate these frustrations.
To change the controls within the game, first hit the + button and make sure you’re on the system tab by cycling to the end with the R. Once you’re here, select the Options menu. In here, you should see an option to “change jump button.” By turning this on, your game will change the controls so that jump is now assigned to the B button.
Unfortunately, you cannot remap any of the other controls, but there is an option to turn off aiming with motion controls. Looks like you’ll be stuck crouching when you mean to sprint until you get used to it.
That’s all you need to know to remap the controls in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For more tips, tricks, and information, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
