How to Shoot in Slow Motion with Your Bow – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be a really tough game, with countless types of enemies, weapons breaking on you, and climate changes that will leave Link wishing he stood sleeping in that cave. Because of this, you need to take advantage of every mechanic you can get. One of these is slow motion, which can be triggered for your bow, allowing you to pull off multiple shots, clearing out several enemies quickly.
To shoot your bow in slow motion you’ll need three things: a bow, some stamina, and some height. The time-slowing mechanic is automatically triggered when you aim your bow from high in the air. You can achieve this height by transitioning into aiming from a glide, or by jumping forward off of your horse. The slowdown will remain in effect until your stamina bar runs out, at which point the action will return to its normal, quick, dangerous pace.
This is a great skill to use when you need to land a tricky shot on a large enemy, or when you stumble across a small group of enemies that you want to quickly dispatch. Always remember that it’s a part of your arsenal.
