Yakuza 0: How to Increase Friendship

Throughout Yakuza 0’s world, there are characters that you can befriend by completing certain tasks. Making friends and gaining their friendship isn’t difficult, and many will be made organically as you progress through the main story. However, what exactly you have to do changes with each character.

Yakuza 0 features many substories that see you meet additional characters that ask you to do certain things for them. This can be anything from buying something to helping produce a TV show because someone has gone missing. It is these substories that will begin your blossoming friendships.

Once a substory is introduced, the character will ask you to do something and the friendship bar will increase. If you repeat the task, the friendship bar will continue to increase, eventually adding them to your friend list. For example, substory 2 is about Miko, the store clerk at 24 hour shop on the left side of the map. To befriend her, all you have to do is repeatedly buy items from her shop, over time, until the friendship bar is full. Most others are just as easy to befriend and what you have to do is made very clear.
