On the day of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s release, Hideo Kojima took to Japan to visit retailer after retailer. He shook hands with fans, enjoyed MGS sale displays, and marveled at the numerous “Sold Out” notices he met along the way.

Kojima has been posting pictures of his release day tour on his Twitter account, every message full of happiness.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has definitely been impressing, receiving positive scores across the board and keeping fans on their toes discovering new ways to incapacitate horses and Quiet’s unexpected backstory.
