The collection will come as a physical disc that will contain both Resident Evil 0, with Resident Evil. The Resident Evil Origins Collection will be released on January 22 in Europe and January 19 in North America.

If you’re not all that interested in the original Resident Evil then fear not. Resident Evil 0  will be available as a digital download on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC around the same time.

Capcom also revealed that they would be including an all-new mode in the collection. The addition of Wesker Mode, will be part of Resident Evil 0, and will allow players to take control of series villain Albert Wesker. Fans will play as Wesker alongside Rebecca Chambers. Both characters will come with those all important unique outfits, and Wesker even has those all important urboros abilities too. Check out the video uploaded to the official ‘Resident Evil’ YouTube channel showcasing Wesker Mode below.

What do you make of the new mode, and Capcom’s decision to bring us this Resident Evil collection? A welcome release, or should they be focusing as many resources as possible on releasing an all new game to utilise the power of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4? Let us know in the comments below.
