Well this is a little surprising and disappointing. Xur, Destiny’s shady black market dealer apparently hasn’t spent a lot of time on the new expansion, House of Wolves, yet. He has no strange coin purchasable exotics for sale from House of Wolves. He is however in the Reef’s Vestian Outpost for the first time.
While this is sad news, it isn’t all bad. Despite the lack of new stuff for sale, Xur is trying really hard to make it up to you with everything else he is selling. This week he’s got The Last Word, one of the most powerful exotic Hand Cannons in the game. The Last Word is for guardians that want to get their Clint Eastwood on and fire from the hip, cowboy style. This gun can be fan fired from the hip and gains bonus accuracy when doing so. If you like Hand Cannons and are comfortable firing from the hip, there may not be a better gun especially in PvP.
Besides The Last Word, Xur is selling Heavy Ammo Synthesis (woop woop), Gauntlets for Titans (No Back Up Plans), Leg Armor for Hunters (Radiant Dance Machines), and Chest Armor for Warlocks (Starfire Protocol). Also, if you’ve been saving your Motes of Light, you could try rolling the dice for new House of Wolves exotic helmet by purchasing an Exotic Head Engram for 23 Motes.
If you’re looking for strange coins, they can commonly be found by completing Destiny’s weekly heroic and nightfall strikes along with completing a daily public event and turning in blue engrams. Also for the first time ever, Xur will be dealing in material exchange for Motes of Light.
