EA Sport’s hockey game NHL 15 is the latest title by the publisher to be added to EA Access, EA’s subscription-based program available only on Xbox One.
The subscription-based program gives subscribers access to The Vault, allowing them to play games such as Battlefield 4, EA Sports UFC, Fifa 14, Madden NFL 15, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 15, Need for Speed Rivals, Peggle 2 and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. Not only do you get access to all these free games, the subscription service offers limited trials of selected EA titles for up to five days before the game releases, such as they did with Battlefield Hardline.
NHL 15 for Xbox One is the tenth game to join the selection of games on The Vault, and is the latest addition since Madden NFL 15 was added just over a month ago.
If you’re an Xbox One owner, and your’re a big fan of EA games then EA Access may actually be quite a steal for you. The service costs $4.99 per month of $29.99 per year and with some of the newest sports titles being added to the service 5-6 months before the latest iterations release, a couple bucks a month for an ever expanding library of free games is nothing to scoff at. Throw into that the aforementioned early access of the latest titles, as well as 10% discount off digital purchases made through the Xbox Store and it’s a safe bet you’ll have made you’re money back in no time.
What’s your opinion on EA Access? Would you like to see more publishers offer a similar service, like Ubisoft or Activision? Or does a subscription service like this just not appeal to you at all? Let us know in the comments below.
