Gamers will be able to choose from a monthly subscription plan for $19.99 per month or a three-month plan for $44.99, breaking down to about $15 per month. A free seven-day trial that provides access to all games in the subscription service will also be offered at launch.

The prices are far more reasonable than the initial offerings PlayStation offered at launch. The list of games currently available are by no means comprehensive, but this new subscription model is sure to breathe new life into the service, tempting gamers who were on the fence about the service.

The 7 day trial period is a great chance for gamers to see if their internet speeds are up to snuff. Try the service and see if it actually works with your network.

The new subscription model launches next week. In the meantime, check out the new trailer Sony put together.
