Season of Plunder introduced a unique set of weapons in Destiny 2: the Plundered weapons. These Plundered weapons far and away exceed previous season weapon sets, such as the Haunted and Risen sets. One weapon, in particular, has dominated the PvE endgame for the past few weeks, the Tarnished Mettle Scout Rifle. So today, let’s discuss how to get the Tarnished Mettle Scout Rifle and what the God Roll for it is in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 – How To Get The Tarnished Mettle Scout Rifle
The Tarnished Mettle Scout Rifle is a new seasonal weapon, meaning there are only a few places to obtain such a weapon: the latest seasonal activities. Ketchcrash and Expedition are the activities to take apart for the Tarnished Mettle and the other Plundered weapons.
You’ll have a slight chance of earning one upon completing either Ketchcrash or Expedition. Our recommendation is to play Ketchcrash first to earn some of the seasonal currency, then move onto Expedition. From there, you can use your currency towards a pirate map. At the end of Expedition, three chests will appear after you defeat the boss. Use your pirate map to claim your treasure from one of the chests.
You’ll also earn Plundered Umbral Energy from completing Expedition. You can buy your very own copy of Tarnished Mettle after using twelve Plundered Umbral Energy to purchase it from the Star Chart in the Helm.
What Is The God Roll For Tarnished Mettle In Destiny 2?
We’ve mentioned how this weapon has dominated the PvE endgame for weeks now, but what roll does it need to do so? For endgame content such as Nightfalls and Raids, you’re gonna wanna go for Demolitionist and Voltshot as the God Roll.
Demolitionist generates grenade energy for every kill earned. Voltshot, on the other hand, states the following, “Reloading this weapon after defeating a target overcharges this weapon for a short period of time, causing it to jolt on its next hit.” Combine these two perks with an Arc 3.0 build, and you’ll electrify the entire field with ease. Explosive Payload is also a great option instead of Voltshot, as it’ll help deal with the pesky mini-bosses faster than Voltshot would.
