When you arrive here, you want to head around the back of the mansion and head through the door by the Bounty Board.

When you head through this door, walk over the carpet and you’ll fall through the floor and end up in the basement of the mansion.

Down here, you’ll find a ritual circle with a bunch of torches around it. After a few seconds, the torches will flare up and INKQUISITOR, a new boss introduced to the island will appear in the middle of it.

While it is possible to beat the INKQUISITOR on your own, we’d recommend bringing some help along with you. Though, if you group up with friends or other players, remember there will only be one INKQUISITOR Suppressed SMG mythic to go around, so you better be fast if you want to pick it up.

How to Beat the INKQUISITOR

As with any boss, the best way to approach this battle is to take your time and slowly chip away at the INKQUISITOR’s health, taking care to preserve your own health and shields.

An Assault Rifle is a solid option here, as would a sniper if you’re a good shot and can land a headshot or two on the boss without allowing them to close down the distance between you while you’re looking down your scope.

The main thing you need to look out for is the INKQUISITOR’s use of the Pumpkin Launcher. If it lands a hit with this weapon near you, that’s a huge amount of damage dealt to you. That, combined with his love for Firefly Jars to set your surroundings on fire make the INKQUISITOR a particularly pesky boss to beat.

To help keep out of harm’s way, use the various tunnels that branch off from the main room as a form of cover, and be sure to load up with Chug Splashes, Shields and Medkits before you head down. Take your time and slowly whittle the INKQUISITOR’s health and shields down. Grenades can give you a bit of extra firepower, too, should you need it.

Eventually, once you’ve wiped out its health and shields, the boss will be eliminated and will drop the mythic suppressed SMG for you to snap up.
