Fishing in Fortnite isn’t something players are regularly forced to do outside of weekly challenges, but it is an activity that can regularly save a life. Seeing as every type of fish offers either health or shields, there isn’t ever a reason not to catch fish. With that in mind, here is a full guide to every fish and where they can be found in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
Where to Find Fish in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
You have a few options when it comes to getting fish, and they don’t all involve a rod. There are 23 fish to collect, the same as in Chapter 3 Season 3.
Fishing
To fish, you will need to find a rod, these can typically be obtained by searching Fishing Rod Barrels found either around shacks or on docks. All Fishing Rods are Common rarity, but the Pro Fishing Rod is Rare.
With Fishing Rod equipped, you’ll want to hold aim and get the aiming ball to land in these fish spots. These are the only places you will be able to actually catch a fish. These spots can also give weapons, so while you are guaranteed to catch something, it won’t always be a fish.
You can also use Harpoon Guns to fish, they are much faster to use and give 10 shows to grab Fish.
Ice Machines
These ice machines are found outside gas stations and always give the player at least one basic fish, like a Blue Slurpfish and a Small Fry.
