A new season means new weapons to grind in Destiny 2. Season of Plunder has been ongoing for quite some time now, and one weapon, in particular, has stirred up some conversation within the community. This being the new Ritual weapon for the season, the Heavy Grenade Launcher, Cry Mutiny. So today let’s discuss how to get Cry Mutiny in Destiny 2.
How To Get Cry Mutiny In Destiny 2
Here’s a step-by-step breakdown:
- Reach Rank 16 with the Vanguard
There are three ways to earn yourself a copy of Cry Mutiny. The first is reaching Rank 16 with the Vanguard. You can increase your rank by completing Vanguard bounties, running Vanguard ops, Nightfall Strikes, or Grandmaster Nightfalls. Earn reputation points until you hit Rank 16.
- Reach Rank 16 with the Crucible/Lord Shaxx
The second way to earn Cry Mutiny is to hit Rank 16 with Lord Shaxx for the Crucible. You can increase your rank by earning reputation points via playing any game mode in the Crucible, and by completing daily bounties from Lord Shaxx. Continue to do so until you reach Rank 16.
- Reach Rank 16 with Gambit
Are you starting to see the trend? Similarly, like the two mentioned above, the third and final way to obtain a copy of Cry Mutiny would be to increase your Gambit rank to 16. As one would expect, you can improve your rank by earning reputation points. You can earn points by playing gambit and completing bounties from the Drifter until you reach Rank 16 to claim a copy of Cry Mutiny.
How To Earn The Cry Mutiny Ornaments in Destiny 2
Upon claiming your first copy of Cry Mutiny from either of the three vendors above, you can pursue its ornament. Depending on who you claimed the weapon from first will determine which Ornament will be available for you to obtain. For example, if you claim Cry Mutiny from Commander Zavala first, then the Vanguard Ornament for the gun will be available to grab first. In order to unlock said Ornament, you must hit Rank 16 once more with the Vanguard. This applies to the other two vendors as well.
What is the God Roll for Cry Mutiny in Destiny 2?
Since Cry Mutiny is a Ritual Weapon, it already has pre-set perks on the gun. But unlike other weapons, it has four perks to choose from, two in each column. But out of the choices available, Incandescent, Demolitionist, Swashbuckler, and Vorpal Weapon, which perks should you choose?
It’s hard to say, as there are two routes you could take. If you choose to use the weapon for clearing waves of enemies, then Incandescent and Swashbuckler would make a great combination. However, if you’re squaring off against a boss, for example, then Demolitionist and Vorpal Weapon would be the play. It truly depends on how the player chooses to use the gun.
