Patch 6.2 is a pretty exciting one for Final Fantasy XIV fans, as it continues the main story, and also comes with plenty of additional content like new raids and Island Sanctuary. Here’s how to start the MSQ in FFXIV patch 6.2.
Starting the MSQ in FFXIV 6.2
First things first, you need to be totally caught up with the main story in Final Fantasy XIV, up to and including the MSQ released in patch 6.1. This means that you’ll need to have completed the quest titled “A Satrap’s Duty”, which was the last quest we got in Newfound Adventure, and ended off the story just as the Scions discovered a new voidgate.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll then need to head to Radz-at-Han and speak with the NPC named Varshahn. He’s located at the coordiantes X:4.4, Y:9,8. Speak with him to start the quest titled “In Search of Azdaja”, and you’ll be on your way to tackle the brand new story missions introduced in this patch.
Things should be pretty self-explanatory from that point on, as you just need to follow your objective markers to progress. This patch does come with a new dungeon, as well as the continuation of the Chronicles of a New Era Pandaemonium raid series. After catching up with the 6.2 MSQ, players will also be able to check part a new side story questline called Tataru’s Grand Endeavor, so there’s plenty to look forward to outside of the main story content.
