Cult of the Lamb Heretic Hearts are one of the many resources or upgrade materials you’ll definitely want to make use of in order to make your little lamb self even stronger when you embark on Crusades. The problem is, you may be wondering just how you get them, or what they can be used for. But fear not, loyal followers of the lamb! We’re here to advise you on everything you need to know about Heretic Hearts in Cult of the Lamb.
How to Get Cult of the Lamb Heretic Hearts
Heretic Hearts can only be obtained by defeating each of the four main bosses found lurking behind the different doors of ‘The Land of False Prophets’ in Cult of the Lamb. These bosses are:
After defeating each of these, you’ll be given a bunch of gold and other resources, as well as one Heretic Heart.
All Crown Abilities
There are four abilities you can unlock with your Heretic Hearts from the ‘Crown’ option at your Temple Altar. These are:
- Resurrection – When killed on a Crusade run for the first time, sacrifice a Follower to be resurrected.
- The Hunger – Once a day, eat a meal to receive a teal (temporary) heart.
- Omnipresence – Focus whilst on a Crusade run to instantly return to the base.
- Darkness Within – Receive a Diseased Heart at the beginning of each Crusade Run.
As there are four Heretic Hearts you’ll unlock — one for each of the main boss fights — you don’t need to worry about missing out on any of these. However, you will want to consider which ones you’ll want to get first.
We’d recommend getting ‘The Hunger’ first, just because it’s a quick and easy health boost before you embark on a Crusade. Omnipresence is handy but not all that important in the early stages of the game. Resurrection is pretty handy if you have Followers you’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good, while Darkness Within can also grant you a health boost, albeit not as handy as that given by The Hunger.
