Pokemon Legends Arceus is finally here. The long-awaited open-world Pokemon game that many have dreamed of for years is available for anyone to jump in and explore. While there are a lot of changes in this game, obviously catching, training, and evolving Pokemon is still a critical part of the gameplay. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how to evolve Hisuian Sneasel into Sneasler in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Here’s how to get the new Hisuan version of this classic Sinnoh Pokemon.
How to Evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Legends Arceus
Sneasel and its evolution Sneasler has consistently been one of the better Ice-types in recent years. Sneasel is fast, has great offensive typing, and hits hard. Hisuan Sneasel operates in a similar style, however, it trades its Ice/Dark-typing for a Poison/Fighting-typing instead. Not necessarily better or worse, just different.
Hisuian Sneasel doesn’t evolve on its own, though. It’ll go all the way to level 100 without ever evolving if you don’t have the right item: the Razor Claw.
Getting a Razor Claw
You’ll need to give Sneasel a Razor Claw to evolve it into Hisuian Sneasler. Razor Claws can be obtained in a few ways. Rarely, Sneasel will drop them when caught/defeated. Just keep fighting them until you get it.
If you don’t want to do that, what might be easier is hunting for them in Space-Time Distortions. These are special areas that will appear randomly in the field. You’ll get a notification that one is spawning where you are, and then you’ll need to look to the sky for the big dome-like space covering a large swath of area. Enter, wait a few minutes and then a storm will brew and the distortion will begin proper. When that happens, items will spawn on the ground and you’ll have a chance of finding a Razor Claws. Just be careful because powerful Pokemon will appear as well. Make sure your satchel is clear too.
Finally, you can also occasionally get Razor Claws from shops. The Ginko Guild will sometimes sell them, and you can also buy them using Merit Points from Simona’s stall, both found in Jubilife Village.
Now to evolve your Husian Sneasel. Unlike some Pokemon in Legends Arceus which will eventually become ready to evolve on their own, you’ll need to wait until daytime and then use the Razor Claw on it so it will evolve into Sneasler.
